Psalm 117
This Psalm is short in length but long in importance. It calls on all the nations and all the people of the earth to praise the Lord. That pretty much covers everyone! And then he goes on the tell why we should praise Him. "For he loves us with unfailing love; the Lord's faithfulness endures forever. Praise the Lord!"
Luke 24:1-12
Have you ever forgotten something the Lord said? Did angels come to remind you? This is what happened to the women who came to Jesus' tomb on Sunday morning after His death. They were puzzled when they didn't find the body. Though they were understandably terrified, they listened as the angels said "Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? He isn't here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, that the Son of Man must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day."
Angels don't appear today to remind us of God's Word, but we have something better--the completed Word of God and the Holy Spirit Himself to be our teacher. Let's not squander that privilege, but do as the women did and serve the Lord any way we can.
